ABOUT MIRISSA SCHMEELKE

Mirissa Schmeelke is a photographer and artist based out of Connecticut and New York. Her current work consists of experimental, abstract self-portraits that investigate the female gaze. She finds interest in analog film portraiture, having experience with both black & white and color film, as well as manual DSLR photography. Beyond photography, Mirissa has experience with video production and graphic design. Mirissa will graduate from the University of Hartford in May of 2023, pursuing a Photography BFA. Mirissa will continue to do creative work and commissioned work. She values positivity, meaningful connections, networking, collaboration and strives to provide a safe and empowering environment for all.
